A woman who was hospitalised yesterday after drinking the herbicide, Gramoxone, has died, her daughter confirms.
Cecilia Daniel Marshall, 43, of Deglos passed away at Victoria Hospital around 11:00 last night.

The 21-year-old said her mother drank the substance around 7 a.m. at their home yesterday. A bottle with the substance was found her mother’s feet.

For the staff of the Maternity Ward at St Jude Hospital, 2017 has started with double the excitement over the birth of two sets of twins in as many days, during the first week of the New Year.
 
The first set of twins was born on January 5, 2017 to Tannisha Jules of Grand Ravine, Dennery. The bouncing baby boys were delivered at approximately 1:02pm and 1:06pm weighing five pounds five ounces and five pounds three ounces respectively.

The use of force by police officers has come into sharp focus again following the killing of a Fond Mange man by police in Marigot on Sunday.

The concern is being expressed by the Coordinator for the National Centre for Human Rights incorporated Mary Francis, who stressed the need for the officers to comply with the guidelines established last year.
