Castries Comprehensive won the Under 15 Cricket Tournament when they defeated Choiseul Secondary School by 50 runs at the Beausejour Cricket Ground on Wednesday 16th October 2003

Choiseul Secondary won the toss and invited Castries Comprehensive to bat. In their allotted 40 overs they amassed 143 runs for 9 wickets with Windward Islands player Nick Elibox top scoring with 27 runs. There were other useful contributions from J. Le Compte 23 runs and D. Auguste 17 runs.

The main wicket takers for Choiseul were D. Lamontagne 2 for 15; S. Con Cos 2 for 17 and Junior John 2 for 26.

Set 144 runs for victory Choiseul Secondary found the  going pretty tough and were at one stage tottering at 66 for 6. They never recovered and were eventually bowled out in 26.4 overs for 93 runs, with their main contributor being C. St. Prix wit 21 runs.

Doing the damage for Castries Comprehensive were Adil Barlow 4 for 24 and A. Celestine 3 for 21.

At the conclusion of the Match the following Awards were presented.

  • Centurions – Johnnel Eugene Sir Ira Simmons and Nick Elibox Castries Comprehensive Secondary School
  • Outstanding bowlers – Denfer Edwards Ciceron Secondary 9 for 25; Lerry Auguste Corinth Secondary and Rumario Simmons of Bocage secondary who claimed the only hatrick of the Tournament.
  • Best Emerging Player – Garvin Serieux Micoud Secondary
  • M.V.P. of the Finals – Adil Barlow Castyries Comprehensive
  • M.V.P. of the Tournament Johnnel Eugene – Sir Ira Simmons with an aggregate of 305 runs, averaging 101.66 runs and a haul of ten wickets.
  • Most Disciplined school – Ciceron Secondary

UNDER 19 BASKETBALL 

Vieux Fort Comprehensive trounced George Charles Secondary 66 – 10 to avenge the one point loss suffered by their Juniors.

Leading the way for Vieux Fort were Sylvan Louison 21Points, 13 Rebounds, 8 Steals 6 Assists; Armani Raveneau 16 Points; and Brent Mathurin 14 Points, 12 Steals.

UNDER 15 FOOTBALL

At the Mindoo Phillip Park Leon Hess Comprehensive defeated Ciceron 3 – 1, with the goal scorers for Hess being L. Alexander in the 3rd. minute, Aaron Richards – 35th. minute and Shem Ermay  - 69th minute. Ciceron lone goal was scored by Bernell Raveneau in the 53rd. minute.

Playing at home Gros Islet Secondary outplayed Babonneau defeating them 4 – 0, with their goal scorers being Ferad Placide in the 27th. and 30th. minute and Shemond St. Ange in the 60th. and 63rd. minute.

Down at Vieux Fort, Vieux Fort Comprehensive defeated Soufriere Comprehensive 3 – 0 with Shervin Simon scoring 2 and Nyron Winter the other.

At Desruisseaux defending champions Anse Ger Secondary routed Grande Riviere Secondary 6 – 0.

UNDER 19 FOOTBALL

Clendon Mason Memorial and Grande Riviere Secondary played to a goalless draw at Dennery.
