Last Saturday three players from the Vieux Fort South senior football team made their way to Trinidad and Tobago to take up stints there.

The players are Gregson “gorgom” President who is a national under 23 midfielder. He signed a two year deal with Caledonia AIA. The other players national under 23 midfielder Antonius Mayers and national under 21 striker Antonio Joseph are also at Caledonia but on trial.

The players stint in Trinidad was set up by Former national striker Titus “titi” Elva who worked closely with Caledonia AIA Coach Jamal Shabazz in getting the players to sign up with the club. Elva was a former Caledonia AIA player in the Trinidadian Pro league and he also represented W Connection in the Trinidadian pro league as well. The players from Vieux Fort South will join another Vieux Fort South player already on the books of Caledonia AIA Jamil Joseph.

Another player Otev Lawrence from Gros Islet , a former best youth player at the Blackheart knockout Football tournament of 2013 also left as well for Caledonia AIA in Trinidad for a second stint there, having done a stint with Caledonia a couple of years ago as well.

Yet another player Dwayne Henry from Canaries left for Trinidad to play there as well. Henry is expected to play for Cunipia FC in the national Super league in Trinidad and Tobago. Henry will join up with fellow ST. Lucian national midfielder Lester Joseph of Soufriere who is already on the books of Cunipia FC.

Other ST. Lucians playing in Trinidad include Malik Shervon ST. Prix and Kurt Frederick at W Connection FC.. National midfielder Tremaine Shayne Paul was on the books of W Connection but he is no longer signed up with the club.

Meantime,National Striker David Henry from Canaries left last Sunday for Europe. Henry is to take up a contract offer with Lyncx FC in Gibraltar. However he has been in England training with some non league clubs hoping to muster the necessary funds to embark a trip to Gibraltar to take up his contract offer there.
