Caller Expresses Frustration on Condition of Roads in her Vicinity

The issue of the speediness with which road repairs are conducted following upkeep to the islands water mains has been raised yet again.

One caller to RCI’s Newsspin program on Tuesday March 6th 2018 aired her frustrations with the condition of the road network in her immediate vicinity, subsequent to maintenance conducted by the Water and Sewerage Company Inc. ( WASCO)

Responding to the statements made, Communications and Marketing Officer at WASCO Mrs. Cherry Ann Williams sought to clarify the responsibility of the company in remedial road works, following the repairs conducted.

Mrs. Williams further noted that the Water and Sewerage Company, having submitted all documentation to facilitate the process, is currently at a zero balance in amounts remaining to be allocated to the Ministry of Infrastructure for road repairs.
