One man, identified as Alvin Lewis is dead while another is reportedly in critical condition, fighting for his life as a result of a shooting at Beausejour.

The incident occurred last night some time before 8pm. According to initial reports, Lewis was the driver of a BMW vehicle in which the other man was a passenger in the front seat.

Medical Experts from Taiwan to Arrive in St. Lucia this Weekend to Provide Medical Services to the Public

A group of medical experts from Taiwan are expected to arrive in St Lucia this weekend to provide medical services, free of charge to the public.

Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has released a statement in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria which swept through the island last night.

The statement highlights initial reports are of widespread devastation. Skerrit informed that “so far we have lost all what money can buy and replace. My greatest fear for the morning is that we will wake to news of serious physical injury and possible deaths as a result of likely landslides triggered by persistent rains.
